Are you curious about what to eat this summer, and are looking to try new fun recipes? Well I’ve got you, here are some trending favorites that will be a staple in your summer 2025 diet!

Açaí Bowl

If you’re looking for something fresh, but light and easy to make, an açaí bowl is an amazing option! Made from the açaí berry, a fruit native to the Amazon Rainforest, these bowls tend to have a thick consistency and are topped with various add-ons. Such as; peanut butter, various fruits, granola, and honey. Additionally, they’re super nutritious, filled with antioxidants, healthy fats, and fiber, which makes them a great option before any sort of physical exercise (I know from experience). With the endless customization possibilities, açaí bowls can be for everyone.

Avocado Toast

Over the years, avocado toast has become a staple on brunch menus, known for its simple yet delicious combination of flavors. To make this dish all you need is a slice of toasted bread– often sourdough or whole grain– covered with smashed avocado, and even an egg if you’re feeling fancy. Although it’s often seasoned with salt, pepper, or even limes, you can take creative freedom and season it to your liking. On top of that, avocado toast is filled with tons of fiber, vitamins, and healthy fats, making it a great way to fuel yourself up for a hot, long summer day.

BBQ

Of course, we can’t forget a quintessential Texas summer staple: Barbecue! There’s nothing better than enjoying a cookout with all your favorite people smelling the smoky flavors blowing through the air. Whether it’s sizzling burgers, juicy chicken, sweet ribs, or skewers with perfectly grilled vegetables, BBQ offers an amazing meal and time. You really can’t beat the unique flavor and variety that BBQ has to offer, even for people who don’t enjoy meat there are still tons of options to throw on the grill for a delicious meal! Also, you don’t want to forget about the endless side options; such as mac n cheese, coleslaw, corn on the cob, fruit, and baked beans (an acquired taste to say the least). Overall, if you’re looking for a great way to bring people together, and enjoy some good food, a BBQ is the perfect option.

Although there aren’t many foods that I listed, you can always experiment with new flavors, and try different meals from cultures all over the world! Food is something that brings us all together, so cherish those moments you spend in the kitchen, and at the table with family and even friends. All things considered, I hope you enjoy these nutritious meals and have an amazing summer!
