Thankfully, the stress and worry from AP testing is finally over. At least for this school year. This year, the exams were all over the place. From loquats to economics in stewpots, and everything in between, let’s recap this AP season.
AP Biology
Coined “Cinco de Bio” by many students, the AP Biology exam took place on May 5th, making it the first test this year. Students all over the nation were unified as they joined study review live videos the night before. On exam day, students were greeted by bar graphs, enzymes, and buffelgrass.
AP Language and Composition
“Look at me. I know, you can’t.” Those two sentences bonded AP Lang students nationwide. At the start of the course, writing three essays in 2 hours and 15 minutes may have seemed close to impossible, but we did it. Students were prompted to write about space debris, indigenous reservations, and living in the moment.
AP Human Geography
This class is usually your introduction to AP courses. This year, the exam had the freshman stressed especially after those FRQ’s. The students had to analyze a Japanese population pyramid, hopefully, they noticed every detail. Milk, pork, and spatial patterns may haunt the freshmen forever.
AP Psychology
AP Psych students were forced to do a double take as they read “there’s too much economics in the stewpot” on their exam. While hoping schizophrenia was the right answer, students made the quote into an online meme. Students had to write about baboons, coffee tasting like grape juice, and mexican food.
AP Pre-Calculus
This infamous course has been put upon most of the Juniors at Townview. Let’s just say, we are glad to have survived it. Through those grueling times, we have learned the importance of friendship, love, and the left hand rule. This year, students were left to wonder how to calculate the movement of guitar strings.
This was simply a glimpse into some of the AP courses and exams Townview students took this school year. Even though we worked through sweat and even tears, we made it. Let’s hope that once July comes around we get only good news and a chance at earning college credit.
